Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project in Atlanta, GA. The Foreman will oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, leading installation, alterations and repairs while mentoring the team.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprint comprehension, and coordination with other trades to ensure high-quality work within NEC guidelines. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Strong understanding of project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Capable of coordinating with other trades and developing construction schedules.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate them to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by coordinating with the team.
• Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices and panels.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics and lay out work from drawings.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing accurately.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits as needed.
