Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, Suffolk, VA seeks a full-time Commercial Electrical Foreman. The role supervises craft workers, reads specs, and ensures safety/documentation across projects. Travel may be required; state electrical license preferred and OSHA-30 or ability to obtain is expected.

Minimum 6–10 years of commercial electrician experience or related work is required; background checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Supervise and coordinate craft workers and plan labor requirements.
• Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Ensure daily safety reporting and documentation.
• Inspect finished work for conformance to specs.
• Enforce safety policies and proper use of tools and equipment.

Job Summary

• Confirms completion & documentation of project Daily/Weekly/Monthly safety activities reporting.
• Inspects quality and quantity of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Interprets company policies to workers enforcing safety regulations, and proper care for tools and equipment.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.
• Minimum 6-10 years recent commercial electrician experience or related experience.
• State Electrical License strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
