Dubak Electrical of Indiana is growing and looking to hire experienced Industrial Electrical Foremen.This key role will be responsible for managing on-site construction projects and supervising field personnel to ensure high-quality installations, following standard operating procedures, managing labor, and timely project completion. Each Foreman will lead a team of up to three (3) Electrical Apprentices and/or up to(10) Journeyman Electricians, directing them in planning, laying out, installing wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment while promoting safety and team productivity.

Internal Reporting: Reports to the General Foreman, Site Manager, Superintendent, and or Project Manager.Interacts with other field personnel and support staff (e.g. Estimating, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources and other Corporate services staff).

External Reporting:Effectively interact with owners, owner representatives, architects, engineers, trade contractors, vendors, and others who are associated with project related activities. Will work with assigned field personnel reporting to him/her (usually 1-14 employees).

The ideal candidate will have worked in an industrial environment and have experience with the primary job duties listed in this description.The primary job expectations will include but not be limited to:

  • Help establish performance goals and review project plans to direct construction efforts, ensuring high quality electrical craftmanship
  • Resolve conflicts arising from project construction and personnel concerns, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration
  • Enforce safety practices in line with OSHA, Dubak Electrical, and client-specific standards, conducting daily safety huddles to ensure a culture of safety. Demonstrate the proper use of tool and equipment use, and ensure wiring meets quality, safety, and NEC requirements
  • Oversee coordination of civil, mechanical, and electrical installations, ensuring no interference between disciplines. Provide assistance on drawing interpretation, equipment selection, and construction methods to address challenges as they arise.
  • Perform well under pressure, planning and organizing efficiently to meet deadlines. Direct and train your crew to ensure quality installations are upheld
  • Skilled in determining project scopes by reviewing and interpreting drawings. Accurately read and understand labels, job site maps, and written instructions for effective execution
  • Communicate effectively, coordinating field installations and project close-outs while nurturing client relationships. Maintain alignment with Dubak management and clients, instilling trust with the execution of each project

Primary Skill Expectations:

  • Lead and supervise Electrical Journeyman and Apprentices on assigned projects, ensuring productivity and quality workmanship
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to journeyman electricians and apprentices, supporting their professional growth and skill proficiency
  • Oversee and participate in wire installations, including work with conduit and cable trays
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using tools such as as hacksaws, pipe threaders, and conduit benders
  • Proficient in accurately bending and installing all types of conduit, applying a strong understanding of degree calculations and advanced techniques like concentric bending
  • Install control and distribution systems, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels using hand and power tools
  • Securely connect power cables to electrical equipment, including motors, and install grounding leads to ensure proper electrical safety standards
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of circuit grounding, transformer connections, over-current protection, parallel circuits, and the installation and support of motors, fuse/circuit breakers, and cable tray systems
  • Accurately strip insulation, twist or solder wires together, and apply tape or terminal caps to ensure a safe and reliable connection
  • Test and confirm circuit continuity, ensuring electrical safety and compatibility with the use of testing instruments like digital multimeters
  • Safely perform tasks at heights up to 90'; utilizing ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, roofs, and other secure work surfaces.

  • Effectively manage craft labor teams to achieve project goals while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and mutual respect on the jobsite
  • Monitor and verify that all installations meet established quality standards and specifications
  • Uphold high standards and inspire the team through leading by example
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with allproject stakeholders
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others
  • Perform tasks wearing required PPE, such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.

Experience:

  • Industrial Electrical Foreman: 5 years (Preferred)
