Overview

An Electrical Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling crews to complete work orders, including assigning tasks, ensuring high-quality installation, and performing quality inspections. Monitors task completion, compliance, and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Plan productivity for assigned scope of work.
2. Organize materials by areas/floors and keep track of inventories.
3. Identify tools and equipment needed; manage tool inspections and sign-in/out sheets.
4. Prepare information packages for each crew activity.
5. Manage breaks and monitor loss time.
6. Submit daily reports on hours and units for each crew member.
7. Conduct quality control inspections following established plans and checklists.
8. Ensure professional and high-quality installation work.
9. Maintain and update as-built drawings weekly.
10. Inventory and secure tools and equipment daily; submit inventory sheets weekly.
11. Report lost, stolen, or damaged tools.
12. Review and store All-Hazards Assessments (AHA).
13. Submit weekly equipment inspection sheets.
14. Follow procedures for accident and incident reporting within 24 hours.
15. Ensure work area cleanup and safety at the end of each day.

Quality of Work

1. Ensure installation meets codes, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
2. Implement the Project Quality Plan and document deviations.
3. Participate in Quality Control activities, including inspections and documentation.
4. Address discrepancies and nonconformities promptly.
5. Review quality scorecards and ongoing issues with crews.
6. Participate in design reviews for constructability issues.
7. Contribute to daily work briefings on quality matters.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in electrical industry with a High School diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience with an Associate degree.

Abilities

• Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds; demonstrate physical stamina.
• Relocate a 12-foot stepladder unaided.
• Work at heights up to 60 feet, maintaining balance on scaffolds and ladders.
• Perform physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching.
• Good vision, color perception, and communication skills in English.
• Recognize problems and apply general rules to solve them.
• Identify relationships among different pieces of information.
• See details at close range and communicate effectively.
