Overview

An Electrical Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling crews to complete assigned work orders, including task assignment, quality assurance, and safety monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crew meets daily productivity benchmarks.
• Plan and organize material phasing and track inventories.
• Identify tools and equipment needed, manage sign-in/out, and inspect tools.
• Prepare and manage information packages for each crew activity.
• Control breaks to minimize loss of productive time.
• Submit daily reports on hours and units worked.
• Conduct quality control inspections following established plans and checklists.
• Install work to high-quality standards and ensure code compliance.
• Maintain and update as-built drawings regularly.
• Inventory and secure tools and equipment daily, report losses or damages.
• Review and sign off on AHA’s related to scope of work.
• Submit weekly equipment inspection sheets.
• Follow procedures for accident and incident reporting within 24 hours.
• Ensure work area cleanup and leave in broom-swept condition.

Quality Standards

• Meet or exceed all codes, contractual, and quality policies.
• Implement and document Project Quality Plan and deviations.
• Participate in QAQC activities, inspections, and discrepancy resolution.
• Review and respond to quality reports and issues.
• Contribute to design reviews and daily work briefings.

Education

• 8+ years in electrical industry with a High School diploma or GED.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.

Physical Abilities

• Lift at least 100 pounds, 60 pounds for extended periods.
• Work at heights up to 60 feet, climb ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
• Perform physical tasks including walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching.
• Good vision (corrected), color vision, and communication skills in English.
