We are seeking a Medium Voltage Electrical Foreman to lead on-site service, inspection, and maintenance of medium voltage (MV) electrical distribution systems at a customer facility. This role is built around deep, hands-on MV expertise — switchgear, transformers, protective relaying, and distribution equipment — and requires someone who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain critical MV infrastructure while leading a crew and interfacing directly with facility management. If you live and breathe medium voltage systems, this role is for you.

Medium Voltage Responsibilities (Core Focus)
  • Lead service, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of medium voltage equipment, including MV switchgear, transformers, breakers, protective relays, and distribution circuits
  • Perform and oversee annual preventative maintenance (PM) programs specific to medium voltage systems, including insulation resistance, hi-pot, and infrared thermography testing as applicable
  • Diagnose MV equipment failures and abnormalities, determine root cause, and direct or perform repairs to restore systems to full operating condition
  • Interpret medium voltage single-line diagrams, schematics, and specifications to plan inspection and repair sequences
  • Ensure all MV work is performed in strict compliance with NFPA 70E, arc flash protocols, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures specific to medium voltage equipment
  • Serve as the on-site subject matter expert for MV systems when engaging with facility/customer engineering and management teams
Additional Duties
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and work orders for broader electrical work
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations across the crew
  • Meet daily with facility management to review MV system status and priorities
  • Maintain accurate time records and job documentation
  • Coordinate with other craft superintendents and project managers to keep projects on schedule
  • Provide clear written and verbal direction to crew members
  • Typical schedule is Monday–Friday; must be available for on-call, weekend, and holiday work as needed
Qualifications
  • -Minimum 2 years of direct, hands-on medium voltage experience is required — this is a non-negotiable core requirement
  • Demonstrated experience with MV switchgear, transformers, and protective devices in a service/maintenance environment
  • Journeyman electrician card or electrical license preferred, ideally with MV-specific training or certification
  • Strong critical thinking and independent troubleshooting ability under live/energized conditions
  • Ability to read and interpret MV single-line diagrams, blueprints, sketches, and manufacturer manuals accurately
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA guidelines, NFPA 70E, and arc flash safety requirements as they apply to medium voltage work
  • Comfortable with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and PM documentation
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR
Working Conditions
  • On-site at customer facility, working around energized medium voltage equipment
  • Exposure to industrial/mechanical environments and outdoor conditions
  • Must be available for on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays
What We Offer:
  • $27.50 to $45.00hr DOE
  • Supportive work environment
  • Start earning three weeks of vacation first year
  • Company paid life insurance, short and long term disability
  • 401(k) match of 100% up to 4%
