Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring an Electrical Field Test Technician in Charlotte, NC. The role involves safe installation and testing of electrical power distribution equipment, with travel about 25% of the time. You will work with a crew and independently, handling routine to complex tasks and preparing field service reports.

Pay ranges from $40.00 to $47.00 hourly plus available overtime. Benefits are offered; sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance, a company vehicle and fuel card, and paid travel

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience in electrical testing.
Experience working on projects and in a team environment.
Familiar with NFPA70E electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data.
Track project scope completion and communicate with ABM and customer management.
Maintain, test, repair, rebuild, and replace low/medium/high-voltage equipment.
Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and test motor control centers.
Test/inspect high voltage cable installations and transformer equipment.
Document test results and complete field reports; rotate on-call duty.
