Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is a NETA-accredited independent electrical testing and engineering firm providing acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintenance for data centers, utilities, renewables, and industrial facilities across North America.

The Field Technician II will inspect, test, and maintain power equipment (SF6, vacuum breakers, pad-mount transformers) and implement safety policies while collaborating with senior technicians.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen due to safety-sensitive position.
• Background check required.
• Willing to travel out of town for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Excellent communication skills preferred.
• Experience with voltage verification and insulation resistance testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level testing of high, medium, and low power equipment without direct assistance, while working with Senior Technicians.
• Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning.
• Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
