Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Field Services to lead electrical service projects with strong field presence.

You will oversee inspections, testing, startup activities, and data collection for high voltage systems, coordinating closely with customers and the sales team. The role emphasizes field work (50%+), estimating involvement, crew supervision, and ensuring safe, compliant project execution from planning through startup across challenging voltage levels

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred in Electrical Power or related field
• 5+ years in project management for electrical maintenance shutdowns/turnarounds or switchgear commissioning
• Experience with Doble software, PowerDB, RTS or Protest relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, ATS, and 500kV class switchgear startups
• NETA certification is a plus, not required
• Proficient PC skills including email, internet, data entry, and MS Office; training on safety procedures provided

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical services jobs including inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and data collection up to 500kV
• Spend at least 50% of time in the field coordinating crews and field activities
• Collaborate with sales on estimating and quoting jobs
• Identify and assign crew tasks and monitor time/material costs
• Maintain customer liaison, provide updates and resolve issues during jobs
• Coordinate with Account Manager on additional billing and scope opportunities
• Perform final job walk with customer before energizing and ensure successful startup
• Prepare and review accurate job reports for production management
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to emergencies
