Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. seeks a Project Manager, Field Services to lead electrical services projects—inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and startup—up to 500kV. Most duties will be performed in the field with close client interaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical project management, experience with switchgear commissioning, and proficiency with PowerDB/Doble software. OSHA-30, NFPA 70E, and related training are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; prefer an Associate’s degree in Electrical Power or related training.
• 5+ years of experience managing electrical maintenance shutdowns/turnarounds or switchgear commissioning.
• Familiarity with Doble software, PowerDB, RTS or Protest relay testing, and instrument start-up.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical services jobs including inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and startup.
• Allocate crew assignments and interface with customers for updates and status.
• Assist pre-planning, walkthroughs, and estimation with sales; monitor budget and time.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies when needed.
• Prepare and review reports for Production Manager and ensure safety procedures.
