Job summary

Shermco Industries in Trenton, NJ is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Field Services to lead electrical project management activities. The role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting and data collection on high and medium voltage systems, with significant field work and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with Doble software and PowerDB, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred in Electrical Power.
5+ years of experience managing electrical maintenance shutdowns/turnarounds or switchgear commissioning.
Experience with Doble software, PowerDB and relay testing is a plus.
Ability to work safely and follow electrical safety procedures; OSHA 30 hour a plus.
Proficient PC skills including email, internet, data entry and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Oversee electrical services jobs including inspection, testing, troubleshooting and data collection up to 500kV.
Perform field work at least 50% of the time and coordinate with sales on estimates.
Assign crew tasks and manage customer communications and progress updates.
Identify opportunities for expanded scope and discuss with customer and Account Manager.
Monitor job budget by reviewing time and material costs for technicians.
Conduct final job walk with customer and ensure successful start-up.
Prepare, compile and review reports for Production Manager.
Rotate on-call duty and respond to emergencies as needed.
Interface with the Account Manager on additional billing
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
