Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery in Rosemount, MN is seeking an Electrical (IEC) Field Engineer to lead hands-on electrical field work, troubleshoot issues, and drive commissioning from planning through start-up.

The role emphasizes field judgment, collaboration with craft, engineering, operations, and construction, and opportunities to test new technologies while ensuring safe, compliant installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical discipline or 5+ years hands-on electrical field experience.
• Experience interpreting field drawings and schematics, including P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, electrical schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace).

Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical, instrumentation, and process control systems for ongoing operations, projects, unplanned shutdowns, and turnarounds.
• Review detailed designs and coordinate with craft, engineering, operations, and construction resources to support installation, startup, commissioning, and closeout of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with Project teams to establish accurate schedules, cost estimates, and detailed scopes.
• Manage monitoring device requests from initial concept through field installation, checkout, commissioning, and data collection.
• Explore and trial innovative technologies and systems to transform field processes.
• Engage with refinery departments to meet overarching business objectives.
