Flint Hills Resources in Rosemount, MN, is seeking an experienced Instrument Reliability Engineer to join our refining team. The role focuses on ensuring safe, clean, and reliable operation through developed reliability strategies and data-driven improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 5+ years of instrumentation experience, RCFA proficiency, and strong data analysis skills within a petrochemical/refining setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
At least five years of hands-on instrumentation experience.
Experience analyzing instrumentation data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
Knowledge of process measurement instrumentation in refining or petrochemical environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical solutions that meet stakeholders' functional expectations.
Justify and initiate projects to upgrade/replace equipment nearing obsolescence.
Develop instrument-related scopes for repair/replacement decisions.
Lead reliability strategies for instrument population.
Apply RCFA methodologies to problem-solving at micro and macro levels.
Participate in safety, risk assessment, and investigations related to instrumentation.
Provide technical mentorship within the Instrumentation Reliability team.
Maintain instrument reliability metrics and select appropriate metrics.
Assist maintenance and interface with vendors/contractors for equipment issues.
