Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an Electrical Field Engineer II to support a major Data Center construction project in Abernathy, Texas. This role links engineering, construction, PM and field operations to drive installation through commissioning and turnover.

With 5+ years in electrical construction, you will resolve design conflicts, manage RFIs, and coordinate field updates. BIM/Procore familiarity is preferred; you will work closely with engineering and subcontractors on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Experience on Data Center, Industrial, Power Gen, Substation, or Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and field execution.
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, work packages, and turnover documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Proven technical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using Bluebeam for field documentation.

Are you an experienced electrical professional who enjoys solving field challenges, coordinating engineering deliverables, and supporting project execution?

We are seeking an Electrical Field Engineer II to support a major Data Center construction project in Abernathy, Texas. This role serves as a critical link between engineering, construction, project management, and field operations to ensure successful project execution from installation through commissioning and turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Review IFC drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Support field execution by resolving design and installation conflicts
• Develop field sketches and coordinate engineering updates
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and technical documentation
• Maintain and track as-built drawings and turnover packages
• Support work package development and field planning activities
• Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and subcontractors
• Track quantities, field progress, and project milestones
• Assist with inspections, commissioning, and startup activities
• Support change order development and project reporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction experience
• Experience supporting Data Center, Industrial, Power Generation, Substation, or Oil & Gas projects

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience using Bluebeam

Preferred Qualifications

• BIM and/or Procore experience
• Electrical Engineering degree
• E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) project experience
