Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a field engineer for a Millersport, Ohio project to support cable installation and electrical construction. You will work closely with construction, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure safe, efficient execution of cable pulling per drawings and specs.

The role emphasizes field problem solving, package development, and coordination with subcontractors and field crews, with a focus on delivering on schedule and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of electrical construction or EPC project experience.
• Experience supporting cable installation and electrical construction activities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support for cable pulling, cable installation, and associated electrical construction activities.
• Review drawings, cable schedules, routing layouts, and installation procedures to support construction execution.
• Coordinate cable pulling activities with Electrical Superintendents, General Foremen, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Verify cable pathways, tray systems, conduit systems, penetrations, and support systems are ready for installation.
• Prepare and maintain cable installation work packages and field engineering deliverables.
• Support development of cable pulling plans, installation sequences, and construction work packages.
• Monitor installation progress and identify constraints impacting productivity.
• Coordinate material readiness and field material requirements.
• Assist in resolving field technical issues and constructability concerns.
• Support RFIs, field change notices, nonconformance investigations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality to ensure inspection, testing, and documentation requirements are completed.
• Participate in work package reviews and turnover planning.
