Job summary

Solidigm Inc. is seeking an Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer to diagnose and analyze electrical failures at the system level in SSD products. You will work on board-level validation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve reliability.

You will use tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, TDR, and DMM, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience in board level electrical validation, electrical fault isolation, and design of experiments (DOE).
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzer, TDR, curve tracer, DMM, Oakgate.
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics and PCB layouts (e.g., Cadence Allegro Viewer) to guide board-level debug and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with electrical interfaces such as I2C, UART and JTAG and SMBus support.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical failure analysis on PCBs, power delivery systems and sub-systems to identify root causes of failures.
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzer, TDR, DMM to conduct in-circuit failure investigations.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop corrective and preventive measures.
• Document findings in comprehensive reports with root-cause analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Lead or assist in defining strategies for system-level failure analysis processes and methodologies.
