Job summary

Solidigm Inc. is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to diagnose SSD failures uncovered in internal validation and from customers. You will work across SSD architectures and failure modes, collaborating with FW, HW, platform, validation, OS, and driver teams to reach root causes.

The role involves debugging SSD firmware/software and using PCIe/NVMe protocol analyzers, with a focus on performance, reliability, and functionality. Eligible for RSU/RCU and cash bonuses.

Qualifications

• Architectural knowledge of NAND-based SSDs.
• Basic understanding of NAND memory devices.
• Experience with storage interfaces (PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SAS).
• Ability to analyze SSD telemetry logs and form failure hypotheses.
• Experience debugging firmware/software in OS/drivers, including validation environments.

Responsibilities

• Debug SSD failures from internal validation and field issues.
• Collaborate with FW, HW, platform, validation, OS and driver teams to root cause problems.
• Debug SSD firmware/software to identify performance, reliability and functional issues.
• Utilize internal tools and protocol analyzers to guide root-cause analysis.
