Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to ensure the safe, reliable operation of electrical systems across a large healthcare campus in Louisiana. You will lead maintenance staff, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate with contractors for renovations and capital projects.

The role requires a Journeyman or Master electrician license, 5–10+ years of electrical experience with supervisory background, and healthcare/large facility experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred
• Licensed electrician (Journeyman or Master preferred)
• 5–10+ years electrical experience with 2–4 years in supervisory role
• Experience in healthcare or large commercial/industrial facilities preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and schedule a team of electricians and electrical technicians
• Assign daily work orders and preventive maintenance tasks
• Provide technical guidance and enforce safety protocols
• Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
• Oversee maintenance and operation of electrical systems, emergency generators, lighting, and life safety components
• Ensure continuous operation of critical hospital systems with minimal downtime
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs
