Job summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate student in Electrical or Architectural Engineering for a paid summer internship for Summer 2027 at our Greenwood Village, CO, San Antonio, TX, or Chamblee (Atlanta area), GA offices.

The internship provides hands-on experience across electrical engineering disciplines, including power, lighting, grounding, LEED processes, sustainable design, and renewable energy projects, with collaboration across disciplines and client interfaces.

Qualifications

Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical emphasis from an ABET-accredited university.
Must have graduation date after August 2027 to be eligible.
Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in grad school.
Client projects require U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

Gain technical experience in electrical engineering including facility electrical power, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, communication systems, LEED certification processes, sustainable buildings, and renewable energy design.
Collaborate with other disciplines and interface with clients and contractors; follow schedules and budget commitments; work independently; demonstrate written and oral communication skills and problem solving.
