Job summary

Ace Electric, Inc. is seeking a Mission Critical Electrical Estimator to drive the pursuit and execution of complex electrical construction projects including hyperscale data centers, mission critical facilities, and large commercial projects.

You will work with operations, preconstruction, project management, vendors, subs, and leadership to deliver accurate, competitive estimates. This fast-growing team values backlogs, strong client relationships, and leadership that helps win major projects

Qualifications

• 4+ years electrical estimating experience.
• Experience in Mission Critical / Data Centers, Industrial and Large Commercial Construction.
• Familiarity with design-build projects and fast-track environments.
• Strong NEC and electrical systems understanding.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs and project documents.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
• Develop budgets, proposals, bid packages and scope reviews.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment and subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinate with vendors, engineers and operations teams.
• Support preconstruction planning and value engineering.
• Assist project turnover and support awarded projects.
• Identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with clients and subs.
• Improve estimating processes and systems.

Position Overview

Role

As a Mission Critical Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pursuit and execution of complex electrical construction projects including:

• Hyperscale Data Centers
• Mission Critical Facilities
• Industrial & Manufacturing Facilities
• Distribution Centers
• Large Commercial Projects

You’ll work closely with operations, preconstruction, project management, vendors, subcontractors, and executive leadership to develop accurate, competitive, and strategic estimates that drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates
• Develop budgets, proposals, bid packages, and scope reviewsAnalyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, engineers, and operations teams
• Participate in preconstruction planning and value engineering efforts
• Assist with project turnover and support awarded projects
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• 4+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Experience in:
• Mission Critical / Data Centers
• Industrial Construction
• Large Commercial Construction
• Design-Build Projects
• Fast-Track Construction Environments

Technical Skills

• Accubid Anywhere or similar estimating software
• Bluebeam
• Microsoft Excel
• Blueprint and specification interpretation
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical systems

Professional Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• High attention to detail and organization
• Strategic and analytical thinking
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
