Job summary

Ace Electric, Inc. is seeking a Mission Critical Electrical Estimator to pursue and win complex electrical construction projects, including hyperscale data centers, mission critical facilities, industrial and large commercial builds.

You'll collaborate with operations, preconstruction, vendors, and clients to develop accurate, competitive estimates. Join a growth-focused team with a strong backlog, safety-first culture, and leadership committed to people development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years electrical estimating experience.
• Experience with mission critical / data center projects.
• Experience in design-build and fast-track environments.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications and project documents.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Develop budgets, proposals, bid packages, and scope reviews.
• Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinate with vendors, engineers and operations teams.
• Participate in preconstruction planning and value engineering efforts.
• Support awarded projects and project turnover.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.

Position Overview

As a Mission Critical Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pursuit and execution of complex electrical construction projects including:

• Hyperscale Data Centers
• Mission Critical Facilities
• Industrial & Manufacturing Facilities
• Distribution Centers
• Large Commercial Projects

You’ll work closely with operations, preconstruction, project management, vendors, subcontractors, and executive leadership to develop accurate, competitive, and strategic estimates that drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates
• Develop budgets, proposals, bid packages, and scope reviews
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, engineers, and operations teams
• Participate in preconstruction planning and value engineering efforts
• Assist with project turnover and support awarded projects
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• 4+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Experience in:
  • Mission Critical / Data Centers
  • Industrial Construction
  • Large Commercial Construction
  • Design-Build Projects
  • Fast-Track Construction Environments

Technical Skills

• Accubid Anywhere or similar estimating software
• Bluebeam
• Microsoft Excel
• Blueprint and specification interpretation
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical systems

Professional Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• High attention to detail and organization
• Strategic and analytical thinking
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a solutions-oriented mindset

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Post-secondary education or industry certifications preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
