Job summary

Ace Electric, Inc in the Southeast is seeking a Mission Critical Electrical Estimator to lead complex takeoffs, budgets, and bid packages for data centers, distribution centers, and large commercial facilities. You will collaborate with operations, preconstruction, project management, vendors, and leadership to drive winning proposals.

You will review drawings, develop accurate estimates, analyze labor and material costs, and contribute to value engineering to support major projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Experience in Mission Critical / Data Centers.
• Experience in Large Commercial Construction.
• Design-Build project experience.
• Fast-Track construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Develop budgets, proposals, bid packages, and scope reviews.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, engineers, and operations teams.
• Participate in preconstruction planning and value engineering efforts.
• Assist with project turnover and support awarded projects.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.

Position Overview

Role

As a Mission Critical Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pursuit and execution of complex electrical construction projects including:

• Mission Critical Facilities
• Industrial & Manufacturing Facilities
• Distribution Centers
• Large Commercial Projects

You’ll work closely with operations, preconstruction, project management, vendors, subcontractors, and executive leadership to develop accurate, competitive, and strategic estimates that drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• 4+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Experience in:
• Mission Critical / Data Centers
• Large Commercial Construction
• Design-Build Projects
• Fast-Track Construction Environments

Technical Skills

• Accubid or similar estimating software
• Microsoft Excel
• Blueprint and specification interpretation
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical systems

Professional Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• High attention to detail and organization
• Strategic and analytical thinking
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a solutions-oriented mindset

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Post-secondary education or industry certifications preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
