Job summary

The State Group in Janesville, Wisconsin is seeking an Electrical Estimator to produce full-cost estimates for diverse electrical projects. You will size materials, labor, and equipment from proposals and specs, and draft RFQs for competitive pricing. A 5+ year estimating background and Accubid proficiency are required.

Collaboration with project teams and the Director of Estimating is essential to ensure accurate overheads and cost efficiency. The role offers growth in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience in automotive, data center, or industrial sectors.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple timelines.
• Ability to build relationships and work effectively within a team.
• Proficiency in Accubid Estimating Software.
• Solid understanding of electrical drawings and schematic interpretation.
• Ability to commute to the Janesville, Wisconsin office daily.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical cost estimates for diverse projects, including conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.
• Calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs from proposals, plans, and specs.
• Review data to determine material and labor requirements.
• Compute cost factors for planning, scheduling, bidding, and cost-effectiveness.
• Draft RFQs to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project teams to support cost estimates.
• Use Accubid for precise cost calculations.
• Analyze pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Set project indirect costs and overheads with estimators and Director of Estimating.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
