Job summary

Benmar Electric, LLC is seeking an Estimator to analyze project plans, develop cost estimates, and prepare competitive bids for government, commercial, and industrial electrical projects across Texas.

You will review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, solicit quotes, and present estimates to leadership. The role includes collaborating with project managers, refining estimates with field teams, and maintaining estimating databases for historical costs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating in commercial or industrial construction.
• Experience with government/public works bidding is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, and bid documents to develop accurate electrical estimates.
• Takeoffs for conduit, wire, devices, fixtures, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to leadership.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to refine estimates.
