Job summary

Lighthouse Electric is looking for an Estimator to manage electrical estimating for commercial and industrial projects. You will develop cost estimates from take-offs to bid hand-off, analyze labor and material needs, and coordinate with engineers, vendors, and project managers to deliver accurate bids.

Ideal candidates have NEC knowledge, experience in estimating software (Accubid preferred), and strong skills in reading specs and blueprints, with the ability to perform computer-based take-offs

Qualifications

Electrical construction estimating experience
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Experience with estimating software (Accubid preferred)
Ability to read specs and blueprints
Perform computer-based take-offs and budgeting

Responsibilities

Develop cost estimates from take-off to bid hand-off
Conduct site inspections to determine labor and materials
Analyze material, labor, and conditions for projects
Attend pre-bid and scope review meetings
Prepare and submit bid packages
Coordinate with engineers, customers, vendors, and PMs
Manage vendor quotation process and determine equipment needs
