Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; experience considered in lieu of degree
• 1–3 years estimating experience
• Must be able to pass a drug and background screen

Responsibilities

• Cost estimation: develop accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects by quantifying materials, labor hours and equipment
• Analyze electrical drawings and specifications to identify components, layouts and equipment
• Perform material takeoffs and estimate labor hours for installation, testing and related tasks
• Maintain and update cost database with pricing for materials, equipment and labor
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals; support bid meetings and client communications
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
• Assess risks and uncertainties affecting cost, schedule and feasibility; develop contingency plans
• Document estimating activities and generate reports for stakeholders
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing
