Job summary

VarcoMac LLC, a Legence company, is seeking an experienced Estimator to support our preconstruction and estimating team. This onsite role develops accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects ranging from data centers to office buildings, with values from $50K to $100M.

The Estimator will prepare estimates, coordinate with vendors and stakeholders, and support bid development and reviews to drive successful project pursuit in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of proven success preparing estimates for commercial construction, preferably electrical.
• Experience estimating projects from $50K to $100M.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bid requirements with internal teams, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and unit cost estimates for commercial electrical construction.
• Prepare pricing breakouts and alternates as required by customers.
• Develop estimates for design-build and plan/spec projects.
• Evaluate risks, scope gaps, and opportunities during estimate preparation.
• Organize bid documentation and maintain estimating files.
