Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for electrical projects in the Massachusetts region. You will read plans, work with clients, and help secure new work through precise bids.

The role requires strong knowledge of low voltage systems, experience with bluebeam/on-screen takeoff, and solid communication skills. This is an on-site office position with occasional site visits.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years estimating low voltage systems.
Electrical construction experience with equipment, specs, and bidding process.
Open, honest, direct communication always.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize and process large volumes of work timely.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Computer skills at least intermediate level.
Able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Travel to remote regions as required.
Read plans and interpret specs for takeoff.
Provide post bid follow up and negotiate scope/pricing.
Stay current on electrical product innovations.
Enter takeoffs in estimating software.
Use Bluebeam/on-screen takeoff for estimates.
Develop relationships with clients to earn business.
Prepare bid letters and budgets.
Attend pre-bid walk-throughs as required.
