Job summary

Knight Electric, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity at Justin, TX (with option for Alpharetta, GA relocation). The role focuses on retail/commercial new construction and remodels, requiring takeoffs with Accubid Anywhere, vendor coordination, and bid package management.

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience and strong knowledge of codes. The position offers standard benefits, a competitive salary, and opportunities for collaboration

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating commercial electrical projects
• Experience with Accubid Anywhere is required
• Knowledge of national, state, and local codes
• Strong communication with vendors and clients

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs using Accubid Anywhere estimating software
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and customers
• Review project plans, specs, schedules and bid documents to prepare estimates
• Prepare detailed proposals and engage clients post-bid for forecasting
• Attend pre-bid meetings to understand full scope of work
• Notify subcontractors and vendors for quotations on bid packages
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on cost estimates
• Review BOMs and subcontractor scope letters for accuracy
• Complete change order estimates for awarded projects
• Lead and mentor Junior Estimators and collaborate with teams
