Job summary

AvaHR in Tempe, AZ seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator to deliver accurate cost estimates for service upgrades, repairs, tenant improvements and maintenance projects in existing commercial and industrial facilities.

You will analyze plans, conduct site walks, prepare detailed bids, maintain cost databases, ensure NEC compliance, and collaborate with managers, technicians, vendors, and clients to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating and managing electrical service projects for existing commercial or industrial clients.
• Expert knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
• Experience performing site walks in active facilities with minimal disruption to operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, service tickets, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

Overview:Seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background in electrical service for existing commercial and industrial businesses. The ideal candidate will deliver accurate cost estimates for service upgrades, repairs, tenant improvements, and maintenance projects within operational business environments.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Proficiency with estimating software

• Valid electrician’s license preferred or equivalent field experience.

• Detail-oriented, able to work under deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Preferred

• Degree or coursework in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.

• Experience in service-oriented roles, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergency repairs.

• Familiarity with project management and customer relationship management tools.
