Job summary

GS2 | B Corp™ seeks an Electrical Estimator to join our national industrial construction team. You will prepare proposals, material take-offs, and competitive bids across a diverse multi-market portfolio, reporting to estimating leadership and coordinating with a pre-construction division.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Construction Management or Engineering and 3+ years of GC experience, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Cost-OS, Planswift, and Bluebeam among others.

Qualifications

• Hold a B.S. Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 3+ years of General Contractor experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to compute labor, material, and time costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commercial construction proposals, material take-offs, and competitive bids.
• Visit project sites to assess field conditions and build preliminary schedules.

Reporting directly to the Estimating Leadership Team, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary pre-construction division at any of their regional offices. Your core responsibility will be the accurate, comprehensive, and timely preparation of commercial construction project proposals, material take-offs, and competitive bids across a diverse multi-market portfolio.

The successful Electrical Estimator will:

• Hold a B.S. Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, paired with 3+ years of General Contractor experience.
• Bring a well-rounded base of knowledge across construction disciplines, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately compute labor, material, and time costs (with civil estimating experience being highly preferred).
• Demonstrate exceptional prioritization, organizational skills, and a sharp attention to detail when studying proposals, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Successfully deliver key pre-construction milestones, including visiting project sites to assess field conditions, building preliminary schedules, and collaborating with teams to finalize total pricing.
• Possess strong working proficiency in specialized estimating software like Cost-OS, OST, and Planswift, alongside core tools like Bluebeam, Excel, and Word. (Note: Physical requirements include the ability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs during site visits in varying weather conditions).
