Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for a well-established local electrical contractor in Taunton, MA. You will develop accurate, competitive bids for local commercial and industrial projects and help translate drawings and specs into winning proposals.

Join a team with a strong project backlog and a focus on the local market, with no constant travel. Responsibilities include takeoffs, vendor pricing, bid preparation, and supporting project managers through award transitions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods.
• Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the local electrical construction market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects.

• Complete material and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
• Prepare bids and proposals.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and company leadership.
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
• Assist with transitioning awarded projects to the Project Management team.
