Job summary

gpac is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator for a well-established local electrical contractor in Cincinnati, OH. The role emphasizes local commercial and industrial bids and the development of accurate, competitive estimates.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical estimating experience, can read drawings and specs, and will manage multiple estimates and deadlines with a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods.
• Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the local electrical construction market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Complete material and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate and competitive project estimates; prepare bids and proposals.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and company leadership.
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
• Assist with transitioning awarded projects to the Project Management team.
