Job summary

Gpac is recruiting on behalf of a local electrical contractor in California for an Electrical Estimator who can deliver precise take-offs and cost proposals for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating experience, proficiency with Accubid, McCormick, or Conest, and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while maintaining cost control. This role offers a competitive base salary, bonus potential, health benefits, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience with an electrical contractor.
• Experience with Accubid, McCormick, or Conest estimating software.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, estimating techniques, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required estimate details.
• Estimate electrical work for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to verify project requirements.
• Perform complete take-offs for electrical scope of work.
• Maintain detailed estimate documentation, including supplier pricing and historical cost data.
• Support other departments as needed, including assisting with estimates in related disciplines.
• Analyze design options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Interface with clients on bid-walks and provide estimating support to field operations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
