Job summary

Hillard Electric, Inc., a Crete United company, in Cedar Springs, MI, is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its growing team.

You will analyze project plans, prepare take-offs, learn ACCUBID/TRIMBLE, and collaborate with project managers to develop cost estimates while ensuring NEC compliance and accurate proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical construction or service industry or equivalent degree.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
• Willingness to learn estimating software and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities for bidding.
• Learn and use ACCUBID/TRIMBLE estimating software for creating cost estimates.
• Research pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate estimates.
• Utilize CRM to track and manage estimates.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Preconstruction to develop project proposals.

Crete United is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services in the United States. Type: Full time permanent employment

Location: Cedar Springs, MI

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
• Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities for bidding purposes
• Learn and use ACCUBID/TRIMBLE estimating software for creating cost estimates
• Research and gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates
• Utilize CRM (contact relationship software) to track and manage estimates
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes, such as NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Collaborate with Preconstruction team to develop comprehensive project proposals

Requirements:

• Previous experience in electrical construction or service industry or similar degree.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
• Willingness to learn estimating software and tools.
• Use of Microsoft Office programs and software (Word, Excel, Office .. etc.)
• Understanding of computer file structures, moving files, folders etc.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications is REQUIRED.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
