Hillard Electric, Inc. in Cedar Springs, MI is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its growing team. You will analyze project plans, prepare take-offs, and learn ACCUBID/TRIMBLE estimating software to develop accurate cost estimates.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to craft competitive bids, while researching supplier pricing and maintaining CRM records. This full-time position offers growth and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical construction or related field is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong math and analytical abilities; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans and specs to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Create detailed take-offs and material quantities for bids.
• Learn and use ACCUBID/TRIMBLE estimating software.
• Research pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers on estimates.
• Track estimates using CRM software.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and industry codes.
• Assist Preconstruction with project proposals.

Crete United is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services in the United States. Type: Full time permanent employment

Location: Cedar Springs, MI

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
• Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities for bidding purposes
• Learn and use ACCUBID/TRIMBLE estimating software for creating cost estimates
• Research and gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates
• Utilize CRM (contact relationship software) to track and manage estimates
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes, such as NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Collaborate with Preconstruction team to develop comprehensive project proposals

Requirements:

• Previous experience in electrical construction or service industry or similar degree.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
• Willingness to learn estimating software and tools.
• Use of Microsoft Office programs and software (Word, Excel, Office .. etc.)
• Understanding of computer file structures, moving files, folders etc.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications is REQUIRED.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
