Job summary

Granger Construction is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the Preconstruction team in Lansing, MI. You will develop detailed electrical cost estimates, review project documents, and collaborate with project teams to deliver accurate, competitive pricing and value engineering opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of estimating experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems and the NEC, and proficiency with Office tools and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or journeyman/master electrician with an associate degree.
• 2–5 years of estimating, construction, electrical, or related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, safety and security.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitive pricing and project alignment.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project records.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, codes, and regulations affecting electrical construction.

Granger Construction is looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction team. In this role, you'll help shape projects long before construction begins by developing accurate estimates, evaluating risks and opportunities, and partnering with project teams, trade partners, and customers to deliver exceptional outcomes.

What You'll Do
