Granger Construction in Lansing, MI is seeking a General Contracting (GC) Estimator to join our team and lead detailed estimates for GC-led projects across multiple market sectors. You’ll collaborate with preconstruction, project management, self-perform teams, subcontractors, and trade partners to set projects up for success.

• GC estimating experience preferred (1–3 years).

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform detailed quantity takeoffs and conceptual estimates
• Review drawings, specifications, and contractual documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities
• Prepare comprehensive estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
• Develop scopes of work and coordinate subcontractor bidding and leveling
• Participate in bid-day activities, including review, analysis, and submission
• Collaborate with project teams to transition estimates into executable project budgets
• Review and update job cost and labor reports as projects progress
• Support value engineering efforts and cost-saving initiatives
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, trade partners, and internal teams
• Uphold and model Granger’s reputation, values, and professionalism in every interaction

Do you enjoy digging into details, solving problems, and helping shape projects before ground is broken? Granger Construction is looking for a General Contracting (GC) Estimator to join our team and play a key role in delivering successful, high-quality projects.

The General Contracting Estimator plays a critical role in shaping successful construction projects from the earliest stages. Working primarily out of our Lansing office, this role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and complete estimates for GC-led projects across multiple market sectors. You’ll collaborate closely with preconstruction, project management, self-perform teams, subcontractors, and trade partners to set projects up for success.

Day in the Life

• Lead and perform detailed quantity takeoffs and conceptual estimates
• Review drawings, specifications, and contractual documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities
• Prepare comprehensive estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
