Responsibilities

• Analyzing Blueprints and Technical Documents: Review and interpret electrical plans and specifications to prepare a comprehensive project estimate. Understand project scope by collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals.
• Estimating Costs: Calculate the total costs of materials, labor, equipment, and any other expenses that may affect the project. Adjust estimates according to timelines, potential risks, and economic trends.
• Preparing Proposals: Compile detailed proposals for clients that include analysis, timelines, costs, and the necessary documentation. Present proposals clearly, ensuring all technical and financial details are easy to understand.
• Project Management Support: Provide support to project managers by offering insights on cost-related issues. Monitor changes in scope or schedule that may affect the cost and adjust estimates accordingly.
• Vendor and Client Relations: Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain high-quality products at cost-effective prices. Maintain good relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintaining Records: Keep detailed records of past project estimates and actual costs for future reference. Use historical data to refine estimating processes and techniques.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all estimations comply with current laws, regulations, and standards applicable in the electrical industry. Stay updated with the latest energy codes and standards.
