Job summary

IES Commercial Inc dba IES Electrical seeks an Electrical Estimator to drive accurate bids for commercial and industrial projects from concept to turnover. You will coordinate with suppliers, subs, and internal teams while adhering to codes and safety standards.

The role requires recent experience in electrical estimating, strong communication skills, and proficiency with estimating software. This full-time position is based in Nebraska with travel as needed.

Job Summary

As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive bids that support our projects from concept to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

• Estimating commercial and industrial projects (plan/spec, design-build, and design-assist)
• Applying best practices and established estimating procedures
• Coordinating project scopes with local and national codes
• Working closely with material suppliers and subcontractors
• Managing requests for information (RFIs) throughout the bidding process
• Reviewing and qualifying quotes for specialized materials and subcontractor work
• Preparing proposal letters, bid forms and turnover packages on awarded projects
• Interacting with customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Travel as required

Specific Qualifications

• Recent experience or education in electrical field work, estimating, or engineering
• Working knowledge of blueprints, specifications, applicable codes, and regulations
• Strong computer skills, including the ability to work efficiently with estimating software
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, background check and MVR check (if applicable)
