Clayton Services is searching for an Electrical Estimator to join a thriving company in West Houston. The ideal Electrical Estimator will have experience working on large capital projects.

• Develop competitive bids for engineering design and build projects
• Produce accurate construction estimates based on detailed plans and specs
• Support a client base including contractors, owners, developers, and end-users
• Analyze and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and technical specs to aid the estimation process
• Develop budget pricing from schematic drawings and narratives
• Provide realistic projections that meet client expectations
• Arrange meetings with clients and vendors
• Draft clear and detailed workshop clarifications, proposals, and vendor solutions.
• Communicate project needs and solutions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, conferences, and sessions with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Assist team with operating the estimating department
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and others
• Perform other duties as assigned

Electrical Estimator Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team or independently
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
• CAD software proficiency

Electrical Estimator Education and Experience:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field is required
• A minimum of 5 years of large capital project estimating experience is required
• Previous experience with commissioning estimating experience is required
• Previous experience designing the structure and schedule of projects is highly desired
