Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced electrical estimator in Edison, New Jersey.

The role requires collecting cost data, analyzing drawings, and collaborating with engineers, owners, and subcontractors to finalize accurate estimates for projects. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of electrical estimation experience, familiarity with Accubid and Excel, and a BS in construction management or related field (desirable).

Qualifications

• 5+ years electrical estimator experience in the construction industry.
• BS in construction management or related field desirable.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future projects.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Analyze all drawing sets; architectural, interior design, mechanical, plumbing, structural, electrical, low voltage system and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Review contract and bid documents; review and understand scope for project turnover
• Attend walk-throughs, pre-bid and scope clarification meetings
• Quantitative take-off and data entry into Accubid and Excel.
