Job summary

SMS Group of Companies seeks a Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations of a heavy-duty electrical equipment warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and safe material handling. You will supervise warehouse staff, manage receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, and coordinate with purchasing and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in warehouse roles, 3+ years in supervisory positions, and experience with WMS/ERP systems, OSHA compliance, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant warehouse management experience.
• 5+ years of warehouse or distribution experience.
• 3+ years of warehouse supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in industrial, electrical supply, manufacturing, or construction materials preferred warehouse environments.
• Warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of electrical equipment and materials.
• Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment to support customer and project requirements.
• Maintain efficient warehouse layout and material flow to maximize productivity.
• Monitor daily operations and implement improvements to optimize workflow.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with vendors, suppliers, and carriers.
• Prepare operational reports for leadership.
