The School of Engineering is seeking an instructor in electricalengineering to teach courses in the Bachelor of Science inEngineering Technology Program. An ideal candidate must have earneda master’s degree from an accredited institution in electricalengineering or a related field with expertise in the followingareas: Electrical Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics,Industrial Automation and Control, Embedded Systems, and PLCFundamentals.
The Instructor’s primary role is to teach in their areas ofexpertise, maintain the integrity of course and instructionalprograms, and ensure that their delivery is in alignment with theUniversity's mission and vision for the student experience. Assuch, faculty are responsible for creating an academic atmosphereof mutual respect and consideration for individual dignity. Facultymembers may be asked to aid in the development of curriculum in theresidential and distance education environments, as well as engagein research/scholarship or creative activity that varies dependingupon the expectations of their respective college or school and anyadditional activities involving service to students and theirprofessional discipline.
Faculty attain the rank of Instructor based upon scholarly andprofessional achievements. An earned master’s degree at anaccredited institution in an area relevant to the faculty member’s areaofteaching; at least 18 hours of graduate credit in the specificteaching field is required. This is the initial rank for facultyin, but not having completed, doctoral programs, and those withmaster’s degrees considered terminal and without teachingexperience.
Instructors are contracted for 10 months (30 load hours,respectively). Release from contracted teaching load is determinedeach semester by the Dean, per Liberty University FacultyHandbook.

The actual compensation offered to the selected candidatemay vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which mayinclude the successful candidate's rank, contract length, skills,work experience, internal equity, market conditions,education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined bythe University.
The position may also be eligible for comprehensivebenefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, andtuition assistance.
