Classes are offered in a residential 16‑week format. Class assignments are done in coordination with the faculty member, with no minimum number of class assignments required.

Education and Experience
We are seeking residential adjunct faculty who have earned a graduate degree or doctorate in an Engineering discipline such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, and Industrial & Systems. To teach at the baccalaureate or Master’s level, faculty will need to possess a Master’s degree in the related discipline with desired experience. Relevant certifications are a definite plus. To teach at the Doctoral level, faculty will need to possess a Doctorate in the related discipline with desired experience. Relevant certifications are a definite plus. 3–5 years of teaching experience either in a classroom or online or a combination of both. Minimum of 3–5 years of applied experience in a related field.
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate‑controlled setting. It is well lighted, and the noise level is moderate. Working environment may include facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee’s position.
