Job summary

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience supporting electrical engineering equipment for maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical building code requirements related to equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, and evaluation.
  • Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license required to operate a motor vehicle to navigate through Dyess AFB.

Disclosure

This position is for a contract in which the Company is pursuing. The position will be available upon successful contract award to the Company. The government has not provided an official start date for this contract, but the current contract expires September. Therefore, we anticipate an expected start date of September 2026.

Position Summary

The Electrical Engineering Technician position shall perform Engineering and Engineering Technician services required to develop, plan, program and execute Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects. The role includes all related administrative services required to perform unscheduled work, sustainment work (preventive maintenance), corrective maintenance and enhancement work including: minor repair work, building automation or controls, and material requisitioning. The position will also provide QA/QC and any necessary correspondence to meet work statement requirements.

Education, Experience, and Technical Skills
Required
  • 8+ years of experience supporting electrical engineering equipment for maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical building code requirements related to equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, and evaluation.
  • Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license required to operate a motor vehicle to navigate through Dyess AFB.
Preferred
  • Vocational or degree post‑high‑school education (associate or bachelor’s degree) in an engineering related field such as building systems maintenance, construction management, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
Working Environment

This role primarily operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a quiet, climate‑controlled environment. It requires periodic travel to project sites, including locations undergoing renovation or active construction, where employees may encounter non‑temperature‑controlled environments, construction noise, dust, and other typical site conditions. The role may require work during atypical hours at the request of the client or role demands.

Physical Demands
  • Sitting/Standing: Ability to be on your feet and move around a construction site for most of the day interacting with contractors.
  • Walking: Ability to move about outside in various geographic and building terrains to access construction sites.
  • Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders to inspect building construction.
  • Using Hands/Fingers: Constant operation of technological office equipment such as laptop, mouse, keyboard, scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Talking/Hearing: Constant communication to exchange information, review documents, and make decisions.
  • Seeing: Ability to see, view, and distinguish all aspects of construction for quality control.
  • Carrying/Lifting: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs to transport office equipment and safety materials.
