Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Professional to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing and advanced facilities. You will be responsible for scheduling and technical quality while coordinating with multi‑disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of experience, ETAP familiarity, and knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards. Hybrid work is offered across Jacobs US offices.

  • Ability to collaborate in multi‑disciplinary teams.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an Electrical Engineering Professional who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you will have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing and other state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will be located in Moon Township, PA, but there is geographic flexibility for well‑qualified candidates located near a Jacobs US office.

Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineering Professional, you will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks. You’ll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly, provide assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead, and support a multi‑discipline, highly interactive team that produces installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plant systems.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 4 years of engineering experience in building electrical systems
  • Experience with power system software (preferably ETAP)
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) & IEEE standards
  • Understanding of electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of design experience for semiconductors, data centers, or mission‑critical facilities
  • Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Team leadership and client interaction experience

Salary

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $132,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
