Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Professional to work on projects enabling semiconductor manufacturing and other advanced facilities. The ideal candidate will be location-flexible, preferably near Moon Township, PA, with geographic flexibility for qualified candidates near a Jacobs US office.

The role covers scheduling, technical quality, startup support, and multi-discipline coordination. Responsibilities include developing installation details, MCC diagrams, electrical room layouts,

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 4 years of engineering experience in building electrical systems.
  • Experience with power system software (preferably ETAP).
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) & IEEE standards.
  • Understanding of electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
  • At least one year of design experience for semiconductors, data centers, or mission critical facilities
  • Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team leadership and client interaction experience

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.
  • Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks.
  • Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
  • Provide assistance during startup.
  • Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
  • Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plants.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $132,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
