Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Electrical Engineering New Graduate to gain hands-on experience in electrical systems design, analysis, and implementation oversight while collaborating closely with senior engineers and consultants.

You will support project planning, safety, quality control, and multidisciplinary collaboration across education, corporate, and commercial markets to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient designs aligned with industry standards such as MEP2050

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specifications.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics for building electrical systems design.
• Knowledge of lighting photometric calculation software (AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting) and energy compliance tools (ComCheck); familiarity with Adobe/Bluebeam Revu.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Basic knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and analysis of electrical systems, including detailed designs, specifications, and calculations meeting code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Gather client requirements and communicate technical information clearly.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Support consulting-project execution as part of a project team.
• Assist with project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical, efficient solutions.
• Participate in quality control to ensure designs meet IMEG quality standards.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices.
• Contribute to research and innovation efforts.
• Prioritize safety and mitigate potential safety risks.
