Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Dallas, TX seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing electrical‑subsystem team on the GMLRS program. You will define staffing, recruit top talent, mentor engineers, and oversee system design and integration to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field.
  • Leadership experience in missile or airborne sensors design, architecture, build, qualification, and production.
  • Electrical hardware design for development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry.
  • Root‑cause analysis and corrective action for hardware and software failures.
  • Complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA), harnesses, and system‑level interconnects.

Responsibilities

  • Defining staffing requirements, recruiting diverse talent, and managing onboarding, performance reviews, career development, and, when necessary, separations.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and assigning work to engineers to grow the Electrical Systems competency across the portfolio.
  • Overseeing technical execution of electrical system design, analysis, and integration for Special Programs projects.
  • Conducting design reviews, ensuring compliance with requirements, and driving resolution of technical issues.
  • Developing and delivering training, career‑development, and recognition programs that elevate team capability and engagement.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Engineer, cross‑functional partners, other Lines of Business, and Business Areas to align resources with mission objectives.
  • Managing schedule, budget, and risk for electrical‑subsystem deliverables, and communicating status to senior leadership and customers.
  • Fostering an inclusive, innovative culture where diverse perspectives are valued and new ideas are encouraged.

Job description

You will be the Electrical Engineering Manager for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS). Our group delivers cutting‑edge electrical solutions for air, land, sea, and space platforms, supporting next‑generation mission‑critical technologies across LockheedMartin Missiles &Fire Control.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electrical Engineering Manager you will lead a high‑performing electrical‑subsystem team while providing hands‑on technical expertise. You’ll define staffing needs, recruit top talent, and manage the full employee lifecycle. You’ll also coach and mentor engineers, oversee system design and integration, and partner with cross‑functional leaders to align resources with mission objectives.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university
  • Leadership experience in missile or airborne sensors design, architecture, build, qualification, and production
  • Electrical hardware design for development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry
  • Root‑cause analysis and corrective action for hardware and software failures
  • Complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA), harnesses, and system‑level interconnects
Desired Skills
  • Material Review Board (MRB) dispositioning of non-conforming hardware
  • Demonstrated experience as the electrical engineering technical lead on a major effort, with responsibility for system architecture, integration and sustainment across a program
  • Strong hands‑on skills with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, and automated test equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) efforts across multiple concurrent programs, present to program leadership and government customers, and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience supporting proposal development, including technical volume authoring, basis‑of‑estimate, and competitive technical strategy on major hardware captures
  • Previous LM / MFC Experience
  • Experience with MFC Design Assurance Processes
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
